Sore, Really Sore.

The MySQL conference was fun. Made a few new friends from the Netherlands and Germany. Part of the Phorum dev team. Also got to spend some time with Jaime. It was good to see him and he is doing well. I took and early (6:30AM) flight out of San Jose so I could get back to go camping with Abbey. The security line was long but moved quickly. I landed in Denver to change planes. We’re on the plane and the pilot says there are bird feathers on the front of the plane and it has to be checked. 45 minutes after we were supposed to take-off, they switch us to another plane. I landed in Huntsville nearly 90 minutes late. But that did not hamper the weekend. We had a great time camping. Found some vines to swing on and some frogs to chase and watch a couple of eagles tend to their nest.
Brady’s campout was equally fun. We’re learning that the Fords are not great fishermen. We try every campout and catch nothing. I know dynamite is illegal, but c’mon, cut us some slack.
Emily is registered at MSU. She heads off for a band trip today to VA.
I started back to lunch karate yesterday. Then Ben and I went to class last night. 3 hours was probably too much for a first time back after 6 months of being lazy. I’m having trouble moving today. But it felt really good to get back into training. And I’m looking forward to the time with Ben.
