Anemia

Carol has been sick the last couple of weeks so things have been pretty scattered. I think I’ve not been eating well because when I went for Apheresis Wednesday they rejected me because my packed red blood cell count was too low, i.e. not enough iron. That explains why Tuesday I just wanted to sleep all day. I need to find Emily’s birth certificate and Social Security card so she can go take her driver’s permit. I’m glad it’s Friday, but I’ve got plenty to keep me busy over the weekend. So y’all have a good one.
Sad & Sore

Friday, some of the Spiritus crew headed to Birmingham to investigate a business opportunity. During the day I managed to bump into a table. Ordinarily that wouldn’t be big news, but this time I had my Treo 600 in my pocket, which has a vulnerable LCD screen. Crack! Sniff! Luckily, the Treo 650 is rumored to be coming out the end of this month. Palm wants $175 to repair the unit, which can be had on eBay for $200.
Last year Jim challenged us to join him in the Disney Marathon. When we went to sign up the event has filled. So, I’ve decided to do it, January of 2006. I started running Monday morning. I think it has been almost 20 years since I’ve run a mile, and now I’m pretending to be training to run 26 of them. Egads.
Spiritus Made Steel

Naming things.
Since the dojo is under the name Spirit Made Steel, and Jerry, Russ and I work for Spiritus, and since we are the only ones at the lunch class, Jerry came up with Spiritus Made Steel. I think I would prefer being known as the Ninja Coding Monkeys.
Russ also came up with ninja names for us and Leonard. You’ll have to ask him what they are over at his blog.
Oh, while at COLSA we had a tornado warning and they made everyone head to an interior hallway on the first floor. It was like being back in 6th grade.
