Karate and Shopping

Posted on December 22, 2005

I managed to almost pass out at the belt test. A couple of days of eating poorly and sleeping poorly left me a less than ready state for the test. At least I didn’t collapse. Dinner afterwards at Ruby Tuesday’s was fun. I got to learn more about Mary and Jaime. No relation to the other Mary and Jaime I know.

Shopping is done and I think I’ve done well. You can ask Carol afterwards since she is the only person I buy for.

Karate Christmas party was tonight. Much fun, food, friends, and frolicing were had byall. Pictures will be up on the web site next week. I also picked up a few ideas for additions to the site from Dean and Professor Rawls (sp?).

Tomorrow I take Em to get her license. She officially has car fever. I learned of a place in Birmingham that is similar to Car Max that sounds promising. You can search their inventory online and it is fixed pricing. www.driversway.com

Jerry, Jim and I are here waiting for our CAC cards. I did this last year and never used it. Jerry used his once. It is very dreary outside, like we’re sitting in a cloud. Black belt test tonight, not for me but for Dean and Theresa.

Weekend Of Fun

Posted on December 12, 2005

It started Friday morning with the Youth Prayer Breakfast. What a great bunch of kids. Then a fun day at work. We even got to "test the network" for a bit. That night I watched a Jet Li movie. Saturday Emily and I did some shopping. That night was the Spiritus Christmas party. More merriment. The boss passed out Sony PSPs to the gang. Woo Hoo. Sunday Emily played flute during service and did fantatimically. That evening she had a voice solo in the Youth Musical and did great again. That was followed by the youth Christmas party. Diapers, bugs, snot fish, it was a great time.

Be safe everyone.
