Sore

Thursday night was a workout in karate. During the judo session we loaded a number of throws over and over and it was exhausting.
Friday we brave the rain and head to Abbey’s Indian Princess Spring Longhouse. Saturday and Sunday were beautiful, and we walked all over the camp many times. Throw in camp beds and camp food, well, you get the picture.
After arriving home I help Ben with his first lawn mowing job. He did really well. I’m sure the new will melt with the onset of the Alabama summer. After that we returned home and attacked our yard.
Time for a Big Family party!

Hopping Along

Friday night the Spiritus crew burned hotdogs on the mountain. Flash brought the wiffle bat, Goat had his radio, and Condor didn’t have a list. It was a fun evening. The next day I took Abbey to her Indian Princess egg hunt. The rest of the weekend was spent celebrating Easter and completing taxes. An odd combination.

Stormy Weekend

Friday the schools closed early due to the pending bad weather. Luckily it didn’t hit here until later in the evening, when most everyone had made it home. A lot of stuff popped up on the weather radar. Our neck of the woods only got a handful of small hail. We were much luckier than many.
Saturday we drove down to Camp Cha-La-Kee and Benjamin phased out of Indian Guides. We stayed for a while and let the boys play in the fire. It was windy and cold.
Sunday afternoon was spent in plumber mode. An elbow on the hot water heater had sprung a teeny tiny hole. Our master bathroom toilet was leaking water into the bowl, so I had to replace the flush valve. Then the handle broke. As I finished that repair the light bulb blew out. After fixing that repair I gave up. Time to move outside and attack the yard.
