My Best Offer

Well, we just bought a Toyota Sienna van. I hate haggling price, so we set our price when we walked in and only went over it a little bit. But the wife is happy, the kids are happy, ergo, I’m happy.
Abbey’s doll was with us the whole time as were Abbey and Brady. It was hilarious listening to their questions about buying the van.

What a day!

We had it all yesterday. Ninjas, vampires, blinded drivers, and medieval knights.
It started at 8am when Greg and I went for apheresis at the Red Cross. We think they did a double on me because I was on the machine for a long time and they had to use ice to stop the bleeding. But immediately went to Krispy Kreme and fixed things.
Then around 4:15 Carol calls and says Emily has been hit at the school parking lot. Her car that is. Turns out a kid was behind her as they pulled into the parking lot for band camp. Some kids were throwing balloons filled with lotion. One completely covered the windshield of the car behind Emily. He came up beside then turned into her, all without being able to see. Luckily the damage was minor and only to the vehicles.
After we got that squared away, I hurried to Benjamin’s black belt promotion. I ended up missing most of it, but I did get to witness the belt popping ceremony. Kevin had everyone in class pop Benjamin’s black belt, before he tied it onto Benjamin. It adding a little something special to his promotion.
After that I ran back to the Q office to shutdown my computer and ran into Phil who was prepping for his medieval reenactment group meeting. Full leather armor, tunic, and weapons. That helmet weighed around 15 pounds.
Be safe out there!

PVR

I’ve got my PVR (personal video recorder - like Tivo) set up enough that I can play with it. I’m using the product from SageTV and have been really pleased with it so far. With my current configuration I can record up to 350 hours of tv, or roughly 4.5 Stephen King movies.
