This was a great photo that Carol caught during my black belt promotion. What I would like you to believe is that I’ve kicked Sensei Kevin so hard he went flying backwards. But what really happened is he had his hands up taunting me, I threw a kick that he easily dodged, then he follows up with kick number 17 of 38 to my ribs. Ah, good times.

Deathly Hallows is in the house, but I’ve decided to read Half-Blood Prince again to set the stage. That will probably take me a few months. 
The TSP picnic went well Saturday night. We played Bocce ball until it was too dark to see. Good fun. Emily is at band camp full time now and the boys are trying to play as many video games as possible before school starts, except when I kick them off and make them go outside, where the sun is shining.

Harry Birthday

Carol’s birthday was Sunday, so this weekend we celebrated with a lunch at Steak N Shake and saw Order of the Phoenix. The whole gang gave it two thumbs up. I decided to re-read HBP to be ready for Deathly Hallows this weekend. Of course at the speed I read, the rest of the family will make it through book 7 before I get to it. 
The boys have been enjoying their Wii. They’ve been saving their allowance for some time. I must admit, it is fun, and the whole family can participate.
