What’s going on? Abbey celebrated her 10th birthday a couple of weeks ago and acquired another American Girls doll. I think she is building an army, and that bothers me at some level.
Brady has grown 5/8in in the past month. He is excited. He has decided he wants to be an engineer and has started building things. I need to get him an old stereo and a screwdriver so he can have some real fun.
Ben has left behind the trumpet and moved to the tuba. His best friend has also, so they’re having a blast. He can also now jump and touch our 8ft ceilings, thus making him “big”.
Emily is starting to get things lined up for selecting a college. Lots of stuff to do and think about. She tried to TP her boyfriends yard this weekend but a neighbor caught them. That had to be funny.
Carol has managed to get our house all Christmas’ed up. She’s got a few photos to hand tint soon, she should enjoy that. Also, is there a Mountain Dew-aholics Anonymous organization?
As for me, I’m leaving Westar for dealnews.com where I’ll be a coder monkey. Looks like I may also start using a Mac. Twill be fun!
Happy Holidays to all!
Chocolate Turtle
Posted on November 8, 2007
Since we last chatted Abbey and Brady have both enjoyed another Fall War Games at Camp Cha-La-Kee. Brady found a turtle and named him Chocolate. When we returned, the kids pooled their money and spent $70 on building him a habitat.
Emily has been accepted to Alabama. She is now working on financial aid and scholarship applications. She took her ACT a second time and is awaiting her scores. I put her resume online to help her with her applications. Last Friday night was Senior night at the football game and Carol and I got to go on the field with her to be recognized. I tried to get her to ride on my back, but she didn’t seem interested.
Ben is busy with his friends and his girlfriend. They watch movies almost every weekend. For Halloween, he and his best friend went as each other. We’re trying to find out if there are pictures.
That’s about it for now.
