Too Cold

Posted on March 24, 2008

Spring Break is now over but I think the kids had a good one. We camped in the backyard Friday night. It was too cold to camp in the backyard Friday night. The boys now have their computers on their desks and spent a good bit of time gaming together. As soon as Abbey’s desk arrives, I guess she’ll be online too. Now Carol and I can reclaim the office. I would really like to see her photography business pick up since she enjoys it so. Perhaps some advertising in the local paper…

6?

I got to go with Emily to her Color Guard competition in TN. I had a great time and they executed an awesome show. They came in second due to what appears to be a disgruntled judge. They were ranked with 1’s and a couple of 3’s, then a 6 from this one judge. The girls were understandably disappointed, but they were pumped about doing such a great show. No drops, high energy!

Sunday was Indian Princess where the girls dyed Easter eggs and played on Singing Dove’s new swing. They had a great time.

Spring Break has started. We’re lighting up the fire pit tonight and camping in the back yard. Assuming the weather holds.

Blizzard of ‘08

Posted on March 10, 2008

Pfftthh! So much for our blizzard. Less than an inch. I was hoping for a fun amount, but apparently it went north and south of here. Odd how the snow goes around us but the tornados love us. Meh.

It looks like Emily has decided upon Mississippi State for college. We’ll be having a yard sale soon to help offset the costs. Followed by a driveway sale, car sale, house sale, then we start selling off the kids. No pre-sales please.

Ben is off to a band competition tomorrow. Leaving at *4AM*. Ugh!

I’ve been reworking the computers in the house. Now everyone has their own machine. This means we can chat each other around the house and strengthen our family bonds.
