Abbey has been hard at work for the past week planning her birthday party. Who to invite, what games to play, foods to have, decorations, what to wear. She is even making her own invitiations. Oh, her birthday is in November. Brady has solicited recommendations from a couple of his teachers so he can join the LEGO Robotics Team. Should be right up his alley. Ben is hard at work learning to play bass guitar. Emily will be home this weekend for a visit. I’ve got to put Boot Camp on her MacBook so she can run Windows apps. One of her classes uses software that makes it a requirement.

Go Team USA!

Remember that great workout I mentioned last week. Well, I’ve been sore all this week and my shoulders are covered with pretty yellow bruises. Dojo was closed Tuesday while the parking lot is paved. That will be nice. My boys and my ex-Spiritus boys got together Sunday to build characters for our upcoming D&D game. Brady and I attended our first Indian Guides meeting. I suspect this will be his last year. Ben has just purchased a beginners bass guitar. He and some of his buds are building a band. Time for bed.

Being Prepared

Last night’s workout was pretty awesome. I picked up a few more judo tips from Rob along with a couple of grappling tricks via some of the drills we did. However, I walked away with many bruises and this morning the body was complaining. So I took some ibuprofen with my pop-tarts. Mostly all better now.

Last night Carol was at Bunco and had ridden with Paula. They got back home around 10 and were sitting in the driveway chatting. So I sneak out the back door and run around the house. Pop my head up outside the car window and LOL at the reaction. Carol saw me and starting yelling and crawling up the inside of the car. Paula didn’t see me but started yelling because Carol was yelling. I got a good laugh out of it. Later that night Carol smacked me for it.

Did I mention I was sore?
