Slacker

Busy times around Ford Manor.

Emily was in last weekend for her birthday. She brought home the traditional bundles of dirty laundry. We had our boys D&D game so she got to have dinner with Russ & Jerry. Her classes are going well and her ID projects are keeping her plenty busy.

Ben has been busy playing bass in the praise band and tuba at Discovery. Also been getting in more driving time.

Brady and I are doing Lego robotics. I somehow became their coach. He is also about ready to promote to Shodan Ho (junior black belt).

Abbey is firing up for another season of Indian Princess and I’m taking on the Nation Medicine Man role. This will give her some spotlight time in her last 2-3 years in the program.

Carol is busy with her WPM kids and keeping our family on track.

Emily was home for the holiday weekend. We had all kinds of good food. Lasagna, homemade bread, homemade ice cream, peanut butter pie, and more. She brought Carol and I MSU car magnets. The backs of our cars are starting to sag under the weight of all the school magnets.

Ben has joined the praise team at church to play his bass. He is having a lot of fun. Now he’s got to practice, a lot, in his bedroom, with headphones. :)

Brady will be a member of Discoveries LEGO Robotics team. During the parents meeting, someone slipped a drug into my water bottle and I later learned I volunteered to be a coach. When I got home I checked the calendar and Brady and had no nights free. So we’ll be bumping karate on Tuesday nights for LEGO.

Abbey is still planning for her birthday party. She is our outside girl. If she can find anyone outside, she is out the door and ready to play.

Carol has joined a second Bunco group with her WPM group. Oh the stories…

The boys and I played D&D with Russ and Jerry last week. It was a lot of fun. Things moved a little slowly as it has been literally decades since I DM’ed a game. But, our goals were to have fun and eat brownies. We were successful.
